IVF
IVF
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is an assisted reproduction technique that involves the union of an egg with a sperm and is performed in our laboratory. The purpose of this process is to obtain embryos of the best quality to increase the chances of achieving pregnancy.
It is the most effective form of assisted reproduction, offering higher success rates than other treatments.
When to resort to
FIV?
• Low ovarian reserve
• Obstruction or blockage of the fallopian tubes
de Falopio
• Endometriosis
• Polycystic ovary
• Elderly women
• Women without a partner who wish to have a child
• Low sperm quality and quantity
• Men with vasectomy
Process
We know that each couple is unique and therefore their diagnosis is unique, however, we
will explain the general general process of this treatment.

1. Evaluation
Go to an expert in Assisted Reproduction to review your medical history and other studies, according to the result a personalized work plan is designed to obtain the best results.
2. Ovarian stimulation
This step consists of a series of injections to increase the production of mature eggs.
3. Ovarian puncture
EIn this step, follicle aspiration is performed for the extraction of oocytes. When the oocytes are mature and have reached the best conditions, they are recovered by means of a vaginal ultrasound.
4. Fertilization
Once the best spermatozoa and the best quality eggs have been selected, they are brought into contact in the laboratory in order to fertilize them and thus form the embryos. Conventional IVF consists of depositing the eggs in drops of previously prepared semen, simulating the process of natural fertilization in the culture plate.
5. Embryo culture
Después de la fecundación los embriones inician su desarrollo, para lograr este proceso se mantienen en incubadoras que tienen condiciones especiales aportando lo necesario para su +optimo desarrollo. En este tiempo son observados y analizados para poder evaluar su calidad.
6. Transfer
In this step, the best quality embryo is transferred to the uterus by means of a catheter inside the uterus.
7. Pregnancy test
Finally, a test is performed to confirm that the embryos have implanted and result in a successful pregnancy.
